Chocolate Sauce

Makes 290ml

  • 200ml whole milk
  • 50g Veru Spiced Hot Chocolate Powder
  • 50ml double cream

Place the milk in a saucepan over a low heat. Gradually add the hot chocolate powder, stirring constantly until the powder has fully dissolved. Cook until thick. Add double cream and stir until smooth. Sofia and Dante love this on top of their ice cream!

Chocolate Mousse

Serves 2

  • 200ml whole milk
  • 60g Veru Spiced Hot Chocolate Powder
  • 100ml double cream
  • Veru Pistachios in Honey

Place the milk in a saucepan over a low heat. Gradually add the hot chocolate powder, stirring constantly until the powder has fully dissolved. Cook until thick, then leave to cool down. Whisk the double cream until it forms soft peaks. Slowly fold the double cream into the chocolate mixture. Spoon the mixture into a small glass. After adding each spoonful place ½ tsp of pistachio nuts in honey, and repeat this process until the glass is full. Leave in the fridge until firm.

Thick Hot Chocolate

  • 40g Veru Spiced Hot Chocolate powder

Place the milk in a saucepan over a low heat. Gradually add the hot chocolate powder, stirring constantly until the powder has fully dissolved. Cook until thick. Serve in a cup with some whipped cream.
